Desk Hand Lamp – Hand Holding Pendant Socket
Desk lamp featuring lifecast male hand holding a pendant light
The lifecast hand made of high density plaster which has been hand painted and coated in polyurethane.
It is set on parallel curved stainless steel rods into stainless steel box base.
The fingers of the hand were cast separately and attached by stainless steel wire with an overlapping seam line.
This was done to preserve the full detail of each finger despite the cutouts which allowed anchoring of the lamp wire.
The metal base is finished with reclaimed pine which has been treated and coated in polyurethane, and attached by handmade iron nails.
An Edison bulb was chosen to complete the final look.
