Made of high density plaster which has been hand painted and coated in polyurethane to protect against surface wear.
The base color is an aged bone white which has been glazed with moss green and finished with a polyurethane gloss.
The finish has a slightly wet look and reflects light well.
After casting, plaster molds are cleaned by brush and defects are attended to with dental picks.
Most defects in the casting process add to the personality of each piece and I think are a positive attribute, so I tend lightly to the surface.
The details of the skin, including fingerprints, are well preserved throughout the painting process.
The finish coating gives a fresh and organic gloss while sealing the paint and protecting the surface.
